Amy Butler –
I have 35 years of professional sewing experience and this is one of the best written patterns I have ever run across!! Although not for a beginners beginner, it would be fairly easy if you have a little sewing experience!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pattern!
Jamie Wolgast –
This was the first time I had ever made a messenger bag. It’s got a Kraft-Tex outer and wool lining. The pattern was very easy to follow and I’m happy with what I made.
Pete Jobson –
Hard to find a good man bag pattern. This is great, easy to follow, lots of pics. My first time making a bag and turned out perfectly

Very pleased to find such a great pattern for a man. Easy to download. Quite a few pages, but so worth it ! Meticulously written with wonderful photos. Any pattern that designer Amy Butler takes time to review with such high marks, I’m in! Do yourself a favor, take D. Spencer-Ogg’s Etsy class (especially if you are in love with Harris Tweed fabric). Purchased several of her patterns. Can’t wait to get to them. She also sent me a coupon! How very kind!
Karen –
Great bag pattern. Very pleased the way it turned out. I added a shoulder cushion for the strap.

Coming from a basic sewing background, the detailed instructions were really helpful while making this bag. I used a lighter fabric for the outer parts of the bag and substantialized it with thicker interfacing and I think it turned out really well!
