Watch the video introduction here:

Amplector is Latin for Hug or embrace and that is exactly what this bag does.

The hybrid ‘L’ strap hugs the body in a smooth silhouette that is both flattering and comfortable, and moves with you.

8 patterns in one – This versatile bag comes in two sizes, with 4 different strap variations.

Make with the hybrid L strap as a sling bag, a bum bag, a clutch, or with a regular crossbody strap.

It’s suitable for domestic machines and makes an ideal man-bag too.

Skill level: Confident beginner

  • Instructions included to make with the hybrid L strap, as a bum bag, a clutch, or with a regular crossbody strap.
  • Skill level: Confident beginner

New hybrid L-strap design:

Why have both straps coming from the top on a crossbody – turns out it’s more comfortable to have just one of the straps coming from the top and one attached at the side to fit the body better. 😊

I made the Bumity Bag first and loved the ease and quickness of the pattern. Then I saw the Amplector! It’s an instant download so no waiting for the mail! Perfect, I thought! It’s just a bit larger, but still hugs the body and it has pockets – I’m a pocket lover. so I ran to my sewing room and in a short time, I was sporting the Amplector! I am obsessed with it – wear it every day to carry my phone and whatever. Thank you, Diane!
