A raw-edge wallet designed for non-fraying fabrics such as cork, vinyl, clear vinyl, jelly vinyl and leather.


A long slim wallet large enough to hold unfolded bank notes and a large mobile phone in the main compartment, along with credit card slots, and accordion sides to hold your coins securely inside when open. A feature flap pocket to the front holds ID or small items handy plus an easy-grab wristlet strap.


Beginner Friendly and designed to be made on a domestic sewing machine.

Requirements –

Outer Fabric – 50 x 39cm (19” x 15”) firm non-fraying fabric such as cork, vinyl, jelly vinyl or leather.

1 x Zip – #3 or #5 – 28cm (11”) or longer – nylon coil zip, fixed length or continuous. (Not suitable for metal zips as we will trim to size.)

1 x Plastic Snap (Kam Snap) or 1 x Rivet on Magnetic Snap – Regular length prong plastic snap, or long prong for super-thick fabric, or a 14mm (½”) rivet on magnetic snap.

All Purpose Thread to Match – I use 100% polyester thread

Optional – Glue – Clear drying fabric glue. I use Beacon Fabri-Tac.

Optional – Label – Woven label for inside the wallet.

Optional – Metal Zip End – A screw-on metal zip end can be used in place of the suggested fabric zip ends.

Optional – To add a wrist strap – One each – ½” D Ring and ¾” Swivel Hook
