FREE SEWING TUTORIAL – POCKET POD

A handy expandable open top pocket

A handy expandable open top pocket to drop things into that you want to keep easy to grab.

Use it to hold dog lead and treats, tool or notions, your phone, glasses, camera, tissues and snacks, mask and sanitizer, great for camping hiking walking and climbing, even on the golf course. Or what about as a thread bin for your sewing room. Let me know what uses you came up with 🙂

So many uses!

Make a larger version to use as a Toy holder for the back seat of the car, for Remote controls on your sofa or bedside storage even in the bathroom for make up.

All you need to make it is a few scraps of fabric and a short length of webbing

I know you will come up with dozens of uses of your own – so let’s GO SEW

Make them up in any fabric you like.

All sizes and instructions are in the video, but here is a reminder of the pattern piece sizes

I hope you enjoy making it. Don’t forget to post your photos on my sewing group Facebook board, I’d love to see what you make from it. Join HERE

One of our amazing moderators Chris Hawke already made a whole string of them as a wall tidy – great idea!

And Tania Martin even made it into a Christmas gift pocket – amazing!

Colleen O made with just one strap to become a door tidy, then expanded it to make a holder for the back seat of a car!

What will you make it into???
