Free sewing pattern – Owl tablet stand
A little blast from the past

So about 5 years ago I created a pattern for a fun owl themed stand to hold my iPad or Kindle. (Holds any form of tablet, phone or e-reader) and listed it on Craftsy. That seems light years ago now, but rather than it just lurking around in the back of my computer I thought I may as well issue it as a freebie.

My patterns have come a long way since this one, but it’s still a great little stand and I hope you will find it useful.
It’s a quick and easy project suitable for beginners and has 9 pages of full colour instructions with it – no video tutorials then of course – oh how things have changed 🙂

Make from just one fat quarter. Make them up in any fabric you like. It’s a great project to make with the kids
Finished size
19 x 11 x 18 cm (7 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 7 inches)

One of our lovely Facebook Group members Tania M reminded me about this pattern – I’d totally forgotten about it – she has been making some amazing blinged-up versions that are better than mine ever were! Thanks Tania

And of course, it doesn’t have to be an owl – you can make it as a plain stand, or invent a new animal or character to give it a life of it’s own
I hope you enjoy making it. Don’t forget to post your photos on my sewing group Facebook board, I’d love to see what you make from it. Join HERE
