🎁FABRIC BASKETS – FREE SEWING TUTORIAL🎁
Super-quick reversible fold-flat fabric baskets in a range of sizes
Beginner friendly – Literally Just 2 seams, a few clever folds and a little topstitching!

Use them for anything – as a pencil pot, for sewing clips, plastic snaps, scissors, sewing feet, cutlery, napkins, nuts and bolts, to hold a plant – even your choccy biccies. 😃
The video will walk you through everything you need to make these little cuties.Follow the dimensions given on screen to make the large size shown in the video, for all the other sizes shown here, just head to my Facebook Group to download the free PDF document from the files section: HERE
Once you have mastered the technique, play around with the dimensions – you can create your own sizes of basket for anything you want. These measurements are just a starting point!
Add little handles to the sides or your own branded tags to make cute storage baskets, add plastic snaps to the top, make tiny ones as desk organisers, or a huge one with shoulder straps to use as a fold away shopping tote.
For help with attaching plastic snaps, see my video here:

Try to avoid directional fabrics.
DIANEAugust 6, 2021
If you want a directional fabric to look the correct way on both sides of the basket you can add a seam at the centre of the outer piece before you start sewing xx

Dianne,
I love these podlets. Your tutorial is so easy to follow. I don’t do Facebook but would like the patterns for the other sizes. Is that possible?
Thank you,
Leslie

Also not on Facebook; also subscribed but got a different PDF. And it’s not to be found on “free patterns and tutorials” – actually, can’t even find that tab anywhere. But under “free tutorials and blog” you can only click on the main tutorial for this project, which again gets you nothing but a direction to Facebook. I have five paid patterns, but would like to take advantage of free tutorials without the requirement of Facebook.
